My Journey with Neuropathy, Recovery & Phix
My Journey So Far
In October 2023, my world shifted quickly.
I experienced my first fall, and within just 23 days, I had fallen four more times. At the time, I didn’t fully understand how much diabetes had impacted my strength, especially in my legs.
By day 24, another fall while transferring from a chair to my bed led to hospitalisation. What followed was five weeks confined to a bed, a deeply humbling and confronting experience.
During that time, my days were filled with medications, medical consultations, and guided exercises. Slowly, I transitioned into rehabilitation, where I began rebuilding from the ground up, first standing, then taking small steps, and eventually walking short distances with support.
After more than five weeks, I was discharged. I could walk again… but only just.
What This Experience Has Done For Me:
Recovery didn’t end when I left the hospital however in many ways, it was just beginning.
Several months later, around July/August 2024, I was introduced to Phix. I started using it without expectation, simply open to supporting my recovery alongside improving my nutrition and following medical guidance.
Over time, I began to notice subtle but meaningful changes.
My sleep became deeper and more restorative. I felt more alert during the day. And most significantly for me, the constant pins and needles sensation in my legs began to ease.
That shift alone changed something internally, it brought back a sense of hope.
As the months progressed, my mobility continued to improve. I moved from barely walking to confidently using a four-wheeled walker. Along the way, I noticed changes in my body, but more importantly, I felt strength returning where I once felt loss.

It was emotional, grounding, and a reminder of how far I had come.

This is my journey.
